The Future Imaging Laboratory of Zhejiang University (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) is a high-level research institution with the goal of building a national center for future audio-visual industry technology research and exchange, exploring the integration of artificial intelligence technology and audio-visual art development path, and supported by Zhejiang University's comprehensive layout and high-level talents.The laboratory is located in the Innovation Center of Zhejiang University's Yangtze River Delta Smart Oasis (Jiashan). It is a high-level innovation platform for Zhejiang University to implement the new development concept, serve the construction of a new development pattern, support the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, and build an ecological green integrated development demonstration zone. It is jointly built by Zhejiang University and the people's governments of Jiaxing City and Jiashan County. The laboratory relies on the cutting-edge advantages of digital culture in the Yangtze River Delta and the strong disciplinary cluster of Zhejiang University, focusing on empowering the development of the audio-visual industry with artificial intelligence. Its work focuses on intelligent storytelling and virtual production of the audio-visual industry, as well as the construction of digital cultural consumption scenarios. It aims to cultivate world-class AI film and television professionals for the future and lead the development of new quality productivity in the cultural and tourism field in the Yangtze River Delta region.
