In order to solidly promote the construction of the future laboratory of Zhejiang University Yangtze River Delta Smart Oasis Innovation Center and promote the formation of an industrial intelligent manufacturing industry ecosystem in the Yangtze River Delta region, on October 16, 2024, the Smart Oasis Innovation Center held a feasibility study meeting for the entry of future urban (industrial intelligent manufacturing) laboratories. The demonstration meeting was presided over by Professor Zhu Lizhong, an academician of the CAE Member and the chief scientist of the Smart Oasis Innovation Center. Professor Zeng Bin, an academician of the CAE Member and the chief scientist of China Minmetals Group Co., Ltd., a professor level senior engineer, Zhu Zhongyi, a national survey and design master and chief engineer of Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Professor Zhang Tuqiao, a super expert of Zhejiang Province and consultant of the Smart Oasis Innovation Center, were specially invited to participate in the demonstration meeting.
The expert group listened to a report from the relevant person in charge of the Future City (Industrial Intelligent Manufacturing) Laboratory on the laboratory construction plan. After questioning and thorough discussion, it is believed that the construction of a future city (industrial intelligent manufacturing) laboratory is of great significance in promoting China's green and intelligent engineering construction. The laboratory's organizational structure, team building, and target tasks are reasonable and feasible, and the laboratory construction plan is unanimously agreed upon. It is suggested that the laboratory should face market demand, further focus on the key construction direction of the laboratory, strengthen collaborative research and development of key core technologies, create several major landmark products and implement them, and contribute to the formation of an oasis force for the industrial intelligent manufacturing industry ecosystem in the Yangtze River Delta region.
