Biography

Xuebing Dong, an economics professor and doctoral supervisor. Currently serves as the deputy director of the Research Center for Coordinated Regional Development of Zhejiang University, the executive deputy dean of the China Academy of West Region Development at Zhejiang University, and the director of the Future Regional Development Laboratory at Zhejiang University. He is also a leading figure in the Zhejiang Province propaganda and culture system's Five Ones talent program. He is involved in the first-tier talent training of the Zhejiang Province's 151 Talent Project. He has served in the National Development and Reform Commission for one year and is a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago. He is a member of the The Belt and Road Initiative Expert Group of the Ministry of Commerce, a part-time professor at Ningxia University, and an executive director of the China Regional Science Association. His main research interests include regional development and legal economics.


He has presided over two major national social science fund projects, one critical national social science fund project, one major social science project of the Ministry of Education, and nearly ten provincial social science major and critical projects; he has presided over more than one hundred projects entrusted by national ministries and commissions, such as the National Development and Reform Commission, and local governments. Prof Xuebin Dong has published over 50 academic papers and theoretical articles in Economic Research Journal, Journal of Management World, People's Daily, Guangming Daily, and other important domestic and international journals and central media. He has published seven papers in Economic Research Journal and five theoretical articles in People's Daily, won many provincial and ministerial awards, and authored or co-edited more than ten books and translations.
