Biography

In the past 30 years, he has been actively committed to the research of coagulation technology and water quality in the water treatment process, focusing on the characterization of particulate matter in water bodies, the morphological transformation and regulation mechanism of coagulants such as aluminum/iron and composite silicic acid, and the all-round promotion of industrial application, and has made a number of major achievements and practical applications in the fields of sludge treatment and disposal, two odor traceability analysis, toxic pollutant adsorption catalytic control technology, watershed pollution control, and water quality control and transformation technology. He has presided over or undertaken 23 national foundation committees, key projects, 863/973 water projects and Chinese Academy of Sciences, published more than 300 SCI papers, cited more than 10,000 times, and h-index 56. He has applied for more than 30 invention patents and edited (including participation) 4 books. He has won the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000 (ranked 8), the second prize of the 2009 China Construction Science and Technology Award (ranked 9), the first prize of the Ministry of Education Technological Invention Award in 2013 (ranked 2), the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2005 (ranked 8), the third prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2016 (ranked 1), the second prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2017 (ranked 3), and the first prize of the China Construction Science and Technology Award in 2021 (ranked 1).
