Zhikan Yao, Ph.D., Distinguished Researcher. In June 2009, he graduated from the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Engineering of Zhejiang University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. In March 2015, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Engineering, Zhejiang University. From July 2015 to January 2019, he was engaged in research assistant and postdoctoral research in the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Hong Kong. In March 2019, he joined the Institute of Bioengineering, School of Chemical Engineering and Biological Engineering, Zhejiang University. His main research interests include the design, synthesis and preparation of functionalized separation membrane materials, the design and preparation of functionalized separation membranes, the design and preparation of high-performance nanofiltration/reverse osmosis/positive osmosis membranes, and the application of new membrane separation technologies in environmental treatment and new energy. At present, the work has been carried out in J. Membr. Sci.、Environ. Sci. Technol.、Environ. Sci. Technol. He has published more than 30 papers in journals such as Lett. and Desalination, and applied for or authorized more than 10 national invention patents.
